We pre-mix broiler litter with sawdust, load it in our rotary digester and add water. While in the digester, the mixture self-heats to an average temperature of 145°. The high temps required to convert the raw litter, sawdust, water and oxygen into compost also destroy weed seeds and any harmful pathogenic bacteria found in the raw litter.

By composting litter, we’re able to make 4-5 tons of compost do the same job as 10 tons of raw litter! And used properly, it doesn’t “burn” plants like chemical fertilizer.
